Paul Wouters (1956) worked for more than 30 years as head of communications, spokesperson, executive and management consultant for a variety of industry and professional associations. As of July 1, 2016, he is an associate senior advisor at EPPA. For various clients he will work on communication and media strategy, advice, training and coaching.
He studied social geography at Radboud University in Nijmegen, with economics as an aggravated minor. After his studies, service in the information department of the Royal Netherlands Navy and a few months as a programmer for KRO radio, he successively joined the employers’ organization VNO, the association of metal and electronics companies FME, the National Association of General Practitioners, the General Association of Construction Companies, Bouwend Nederland and the association of drug manufacturers Nefarma.
He is a member of several networks of communication advisors, including secretary of the Association of Communication Managers. Previously, he was chairman of the Koning Willem III circle, the network group of public affairs employees of industry associations, for over six years.
In mid-2016 he started his own company, focused on assisting organizations and associations in improving their results by building and maintaining structural relationships with stakeholders. Communication based on a social orientation is the starting point here. This will also be reflected in the work for EPPA.
In addition to his communication work, Paul has been following – from the sidelines, as a hobby – the international automotive industry for many years: history, developments and backgrounds of brands and companies. He writes travel reports of his visits to car museums and factories on his own website.
